Musical Theatre

The Department of Music and Vocal Arts offers a comprehensive professional training program for the aspiring performer in musical theater. The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre degree is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). Integrated, interdisciplinary training is provided in voice, music skills, audition technique, acting, and dance, with full support from the Department of Theatre and Dance. An intensive summer Music Theatre Conservatory, offers continuing education credit for for qualified students.

The faculty is accomplished both academically and professionally. Small classes assure individual attention of dedicated instructors. A full Performing Arts Calendar provides exceptional opportunities for student performances in musical theater/opera productions, workshop showcases, dance concerts, cabarets, and student recitals.
Scholarship opportunities include the Emerging Artist Talent Scholarships (up to $9500 annually) in both Music and Musical Theater, awarded by audition and interview.
