The residence community values the uniqueness and potential of each individual and strives to create an environment which encourages respect, understanding and concern for others. Our on-campus residence facilities offer students three different residence community environments: Traditional Residence Hall Living, Suite Living, or Apartment Living.

Traditional Residence Hall Living

Residence Hall Living provides the traditional style living environment that most students have experienced throughout their college experience. The two residence halls, St. Joseph's Hall and Julie Billiart Hall, are coeducational facilities. Both residence halls have their own individual touches to make it feel like home. Some of the items that can be found are: furnished study areas, large main lounges, kitchens, and laundry facilities on each floor. Each room is also furnished with the following items: two standard twin beds, two desks and chairs, and two chests. Each room is also equipped with a sink and a walk-in closet.  St. Joseph Hall hosts the Emerging Leaders Living Learning Community and an all women’s floor.  A substance free floor and the Social Justice and Diversity Living Learning Community are located in Julie Billiart Hall.  You may view a floor plan of a typical St. Joe's or JB room here.

Suite Living

New Hall, opened in September 2004, offers a new on-campus residence option for students. The suite-style residence hall will be given a permanent name in the future, in honor of a donor.  Each student has an individual room in a four-person suite, the modular designed furniture allows flexibility in rearranging the living space.  Each suite consists of four rooms that share a common area, one bathroom and two sinks. Each individual room is furnished with a long twin bed, dresser, desk, and wardrobe closet. All rooms are wheel-chair accessible.  New Hall features a Sky Lounge with big screen TV, full stove and refrigerator and laundry room with 8 washers and dryers along with snack and soda machines.  Check out a New Hall suite floor plan here.

Apartment Living

Apartment Living offers students the opportunity for independent living while still receiving the college experience of living on campus. The Apartment Complex is comprised of three buildings: Carroll, Kane and Wilkie. Each building has 12 apartments and each can accommodate two or three students. In every apartment there is the following: a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom and a balcony.  See an example floor plan of the apartments here.
