Our Spring 2005 Job Fair featured over 25 companies, governmental agencies and organizations from the Bay Area. Representatives of these organizations discussed various job, internship, or volunteer opportunities they had available.

County of Sacramento Probation Department	We are looking for Psychology and Sociology majors to fill positions as Probation Aide and Probation Assistant.

Peace Corps www.peacecorps.gov	The Peace Corps has served developing countries for 44 years. We strive to promote peace and friendship throughout the world by living and working at a grassroots level with people in these countries. Peace Corps allows volunteers to foster relationships to communities and participate in cross cultural exchange while providing much needed education in areas such as business, IT, agriculture environment, community, and youth development, health, and education. The commitment of 27 months allows time for Peace Corps volunteers to gain a real understanding of the culture in which they work and the people they work with to gain international experience, and experience personal growth. Peace Corps is a fully funded program. There are no out of pocket expenses incurred by volunteers. Three months of training is provided upon the arrival in the country of service and during that time, trainees live with host families. Training focuses on language skills, technical skills, cross cultural awareness, health, safety and security. Volunteers have complete medical and dental coverage, earn a living stipend equivalent to that of a professional in the host country, earn 24 vacation days per year, and receive a readjustment allowance of $6075 upon completion of service. In addition, student loans are generally deferrable, Perkins loans are forgiven at the rate of 15% per year of service, and non-competitive eligibility for federal jobs is allowed each volunteer. In addition, graduate school fellows and Master's International programs exist for those interested in further education.
