Career Center Mission
The mission of the Career Center at NDNU is to provide opportunities for students, alumni, faculty, staff and the local business community to connect in the classroom, one-on-one, and at special on-campus events. Our goal is to provide our students with a process for discovering possibilities and making informed career decisions that they can use successfully throughout their lives.
Students, alumni, faculty, and staff are encouraged to explore their career options either in the classroom or by meeting with a counselor on an individual basis. A counseling session might include self-assessment, career or job research, goal setting strategies, resume review or writing, and informational interviewing and networking skills. Our instructors offer a wide range of career development classes for day undergraduate students, such as Job Search Strategies, Developing a Career Portfolio, and Internships. Additionally, Career Center staff are often asked to make special presentations in a variety of classes.
Throughout the year, the Career Center also sponsors a variety of special events and activities on campus. Check our calendar for details.
The Career Center is also a great resource center with job/internship listings, computers for students, reference books, and a friendly staff who can help you find the best websites.
Today's job market is more competitive and volatile than it has been in the previous ten years. Drop by the Career Center to learn more about how you can edge out the competition – or just to say hello.
