NDNU Men’s Golf Headed to NAIA Nationals
May 16 – The NDNU men’s golf team is headed to the NAIA Nationals in Olathe, Kansas, May 24-27. Senior, Joe Larson led the Argos to a second place finish at the Regionals and qualified as an individual for the Nationals. Larson waited until the pairings were set last week and was excited to learn that his teammates will join him in Kansas. This is a remarkable feat for this young team and young program. The men’s golf program is in only its second year at NDNU. The Argos had a very strong spring season as they finished at the top in nearly every tournament they entered. Much of that success is due to the spring arrival of freshman Mike Prescott. Prescott, a San Mateo native led the Argos all spring and held an early lead in the NAIA Regionals. Men’s golf joins men’s cross country as the second team during the 2004-05 season to advance to the NAIA Nationals.
