The Mission Statement of the Accelerated Human Services Alumni Assistance Program:
The Accelerated Human Services Alumni Assistance Program seeks to provide assistance through an alumni peer mentoring network. The current Accelerated Human Services Alumni Board of Directors members have generously volunteered their time and commitment to work with prospective and current students. Through the use of an alumni peer mentor network, Accelerated Human Services students may can work towards increased academic success and expand their career aspirations by interacting with Accelerated Human Services degree program alumni who serve as their mentors. Such highly esteemed community leaders provide additional enrichment by sharing their expertise and experience in their professions with both mentees and mentors.
How Can An Alumni Assistance Program Be Helpful?
- Offers students the chance to develop a relationship with one or more alumni of the Accelerated Human Services degree program, who can become role models
- Creates an effective and vital support network for prospective and current students as they progress towards degree completion
- Nurtures a sense of continuing sense of community service and commitment among the students and alumni through their working with and assisting each other
- Provides potential career networking and professional development advice for continuing and graduates of the Accelerated Human Service degree program.
How Can I Reach An Alumni Mentor?
The faculty and staff in the Accelerated Human Services Program are extremely grateful to each of the current Alumni Board Members for graciously agreeing to allow students to reach them via their e-mail which are located in the attached biography for each of the board members.
