Master in Business Administration

Master of Business Administration

Notre Dame de Namur University's Master of Business Administration program has been long recognized as one of the region's outstanding professional business programs. The NDNU MBA is designed to provide students with the foundation and competencies necessary for successful business management and leadership, while they are engaged in professional specialties related to their own career advancement goals.

The MBA Program attracts professionals from the entire range of global corporations, medium and small businesses, professional firms, entrepreneurial start-ups, and non-profit organizations located in the metropolitan San Francisco-Silicon Valley area. This diversity of experience promotes lively and important exchanges on business and technology matters both inside and outside of the classroom.

The multi-cultural student population reflects the future professional workforce of an emerging global economy. Over one-half of our students are supported by their companies through tuition-remission programs.

Knowledge Base

In the MBA Program, NDNU students complete a series of required courses in economics, quantitative analysis, marketing, finance, organizational behavior, business policy, and multinational business practices. Additionally, each student selects an emphasis in a professional area that may include: Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Information Technology, or e-Business Management. The program is designed to allow students to launch into their chosen specialties after just a few prerequisite courses.

Skill Development

While our MBA students acquire content knowledge through courses, the program is also structured to encourage the development of professional skills recognized as essential in today's business environment, including: interpersonal communication, critical decision making, knowledge management, group organization and development, global business management, and leadership.

  • NDNU students are able and encouraged to participate in University-developed experimental partnerships, during which they are "retained" by a business or organization to solve critical problems, innovate new programs and processes, and/or build strategies and plans for sustainable growth.
