NDNU Merit Scholarships

Recognizing academic, artistic, leadership, and athletic achievements, several NDNU merit-based scholarships can help with the costs of your undergraduate education.

Many freshmen and transfer students are eligible to apply for one of the following programs which reward exceptional work and talent providing the students complete the application for admission by the stated deadlines. Commitment to community service is a major consideration in selecting recipients. International students are considered for these awards.

Ralston Presidential Scholarships . . . valued at $19,000
Includes an additional award of $2000 in Work Study the Scholars will earn
while serving as interns to the President or one of the Vice Presidents or Deans.
Freshman applicants must have a minimum 3.8 academic GPA and minimum 550 on each part of the SAT (including writing). Transfer applicants must have a minimum 3.6 in at least 30 transferable units.  Also, students will be reviewed in terms of leadership experience and depth of commitment to activities and community service. To be considered, all must complete their admission applications no later than December 1st. Interviews for finalists will take place on campus in late January. Awards will be announced by February 1st.

Provost Scholarships . . . valued at $14,000
Freshman applicants must have a minimum 3.8 academic GPA and minimum 550 on each part of the SAT (including writing). Transfer applicants must have a minimum 3.6 in at least 30 transferable units. Also, students will be reviewed in terms of leadership experience, and depth of commitment to activities and community service. To be considered, all must complete their admission applications no later than December 1st. Interviews for finalists will take place on campus in late January. Awards will be announced by February 1st.

Leadership Academy Scholarships . . . valued from $7,000 - $9,000
Freshman applicants must have a minimum 3.2 academic GPA and minimum 500 on each part of the SAT (including writing).  Transfer applicants must have a minimum 3.2 in at least 30 transferable units. Also, students must have significant leadership experience in a minimum of three projects/events as well as demonstrated commitment to community service above and beyond that required for high school graduation. To be considered, all must complete their admission applications no later than February 1st and winners will be notified on a rolling basis throughout the month of February.

NDNU Emerging Artist Talent Scholarships in Art, Music, Theatre, or Musical Theatre . . . valued between $7,500 and $9,500
Freshman applicants must have a minimum 2.8 academic GPA and minimum 500 on each part of the SAT (including writing).  Transfer applicants must have a minimum 2.8 in at least 30 transferable units. To be considered, all must complete their admission applications no later than February 1st. Auditions and portfolio reviews for finalists will take place on campus in February. Awards will be announced by March 1st.

Athletic Scholarships are awarded by coaches in the following sports:

Men’s soccer, basketball, cross-country, golf, and lacrosse.
Women’s soccer, basketball, cross-country, golf, softball, volleyball, and tennis.
