Subsidized Federal Stafford Student Loans
These are long-term, low-interest loans from banks, credit unions, or savings and loan associations. Credential students must apply for financial aid and demonstrate need. Eligible credential students who are enrolled at least half-time* may borrow up to $8,500 each academic year.

Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Student Loans
These loans are similar to the Subsidized Federal Stafford Loans except students must repay interest during in-school and deferment periods or have interest deferred until after graduation. You must be enrolled at least half-time. The Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loan Program is available to all students regardless of income, and no credit checks are required. Students may borrow up to the cost of education or $18,500 annually, whichever is less.

Alternative Loan Programs
Nellie Mae, Citiassist, Bank of America, and U.S. Bank
These are supplemental student loans, and serve as a line of credit. Eligible students can borrow up to the full cost of attendance at NDNU. Applicants must demonstrate creditworthiness.
