Alumni & Family Weekend 2006

September 29th - October 1st

Mission Statement

The mission of the Parents' Association is to engage NDNU parents in campus and regional events that support the educational and financial goals of the University, enhance the college experience for both students and parents, expand student career opportunities, and foster a sense of community for every member of the NDNU family.

Objectives

The Parents' Association objectives are to provide all parents and guardians with a meaningful and enjoyable way to become active members of the NDNU family while working to promote the well-being of students and the University. The Association serves as a resource for information and provides opportunities for involvement with students, faculty, administration, and other parents. Parents support the needs of NDNU and serve as ambassadors to prospective and incoming families.

All parents and guardians are members of the NDNU Parents' Association and we invite you to actively participate in the programs and services that will keep you connected with your sons and daughters, and the entire NDNU community.

There are many opportunities to get involved in the Parents' Association through its various committees. We hope you will join the committee best suited to your interests.

Ambassador Committee

Parents' Association volunteers serve as ambassadors to prospective and incoming families by hosting regional receptions for newly accepted students in your area. Parents assist with the development of Family Weekend activities and become NDNU local contacts with high schools in their area.

Volunteers are needed to represent NDNU at events throughout the year.

Career Development Committee

Parents Association volunteers working with the NDNU Career Center have the opportunity to mentor students while networking with other parents.

Volunteers are needed to provide internship opportunities at their companies to NDNU students and to serve as Parent/Career Center contact for the Parents' Association.

NDNU Fund Committee

Support of the NDNU Fund will enhance academic excellence at NDNU, support student services, and make dreams come true for many students who wish to further their education.

Volunteers are needed to assist in communicating the needs of the University and the importance of the NDNU Fund to other parents.

If you would like to volunteer for the NDNU Parents' Association please fill out the online form.
